Commercial Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Repair in Tampa Bay

Walk-ins, ice machines and cook-line equipment for restaurants, bars, hotels and markets in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

What we fix around the bay

Most Tampa calls are about cold. A walk-in in Ybor City creeping up to 45°F by the end of a Saturday, an ice machine behind a bar on Central Avenue in St. Pete that stopped dropping cubes, a reach-in on a Clearwater Beach patio that never pulls down in August. Those go first. After that come fryers, ovens, ranges, dish machines and the rest of the hot line.

Each of the three main jobs has its own page with the failures we see and what to check before you call: walk-in cooler and refrigeration repair, ice machine repair and restaurant equipment repair.

Why Tampa Bay equipment fails the way it does

Heat and humidity do most of the damage. Condensing units on flat roofs in Westshore and Brandon sit in direct sun from May to October, and a dirty coil that coped in March gives up in July. Kitchens near the water, from Davis Islands to Clearwater Beach and Pass-a-Grille, add salt to the coil and the fan motor. A cooler that runs all day and never reaches set point is usually telling you the condenser can't shed heat.

Storm season is the other pattern. Helene and Milton in 2024 left plenty of Pinellas and South Tampa kitchens without power for days. The usual damage afterward is a compressor that short-cycled through brownouts or a control board hit by a surge when the grid came back. If your power dropped and returned, have the refrigeration checked before you restock. Our hurricane season guide for restaurant kitchens covers the prep.

How a Tampa job runs

You call or send the form. Dispatch asks for the brand, model and what the unit is doing, so the tech shows up with the likely parts. On site the tech finds the fault, quotes it in writing and does nothing above the amount you approved. The $89 service call is waived when you go ahead with the repair. Groups with several stores can open a vendor account once and use it for every location.
