Background
Nine years on the cold side. A walk-in that loses temperature overnight costs a restaurant more than the repair will, so the diagnostic has to be right the first time. Recover, pull vacuum, hold the micron reading, charge by weight — skip a step and you are back in two weeks with a restricted drier.
What I work on
Walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, prep tables and display cases. Compressor and condenser replacement, evaporator leaks, TXV and metering device work, defrost timers and controls. Recovery machine, micron gauge and heated-diode leak detector are standard kit on my truck.
Why I work at Berne
The shop lets me take the time a sealed system needs, and the parts are already on the truck.
